Community Through Song and Stage is BACK — and we’re kicking off with Stephen Sondheim’s COMPANY, a bold, honest, hilarious look at love, friendship, and figuring out who you are (and who you want to be).

We’re casting 28 powerhouse teens (ages 14–18) to bring this iconic show to life in a fully-staged, double-cast production. If you love smart theatre, killer harmonies, and seriously meaty roles — this is that show.

🎶 REHEARSALS

Tues & Thurs — 6–9 PM
Sundays — 9 AM–12 PM
Starts Dec 2 (holiday break included)
Rehearsals at our Paoli Studio

Our production assistant sends out call lists every Sunday evening for the upcoming week. We maximize the time we have with each performer and minimize downtime.

Can I participate in both Company and my school show?

While we can’t definitely say for sure, the answer is most likely, “Yes”.

We understand it’s the height of high school musical season — we’ll be flexible with reasonable conflicts, and all tech/performance weeks will be excused absences from school productions. We anticipate conflicts the week before tech and have built a schedule with this in mind.

We ask all performers who audition to be as honest and thorough as possible when putting conflicts on the sign-up sheet.

Company digs into relationships, commitment, love, pressure, and growing up. We’ll handle the material with maturity, respect, and age-appropriate choices, while still honoring Sondheim’s truth and brilliance.

This is a chance to level up your artistry — vocally, emotionally, and dramatically — in a story that really says something.

Steps to audition

  1. Register below and pay the $60 deposit. After registration, you will be emailed a link to the prescreening audition form.

  2. Complete the audition requirements by December 3rd and submit the prescreening audition form.

      • Vocal Audition

        • Prepare 32 bars (approx. 60-90 seconds) of a Sondheim song. You may, absolutely, sing something from the show. Please use a backing track (no a cappella).Acting Audition

      • Acting Audition

        • Perform one short contemporary monologue (60–90 seconds) that demonstrates character and your personality. Monologues may be comedic or dramatic — choose something that reflects you.

      • Optional Movement Submissions

        • While COMPANY is primarily a movement-based show rather than a heavy dance piece, we’d love to see your physical storytelling! Submit a short clip (30–45 seconds) showing comfort with rhythm, character movement, or light choreography — this can even be a song moment performed in character.
