CTSS Production Lab Policies

Semester Commitment Required: Enrollment is for the full semester in order to reserve your student’s recurring place in the cast and rehearsal schedule.

Tuition & Payment Schedule: Families enrolled in more than one CTSS POD class may pay through monthly tuition billing. Families enrolling only in CTSS Production Lab are asked to pay the full semester balance within two weeks of registration. Payment plans are available upon request.

Production-Based Enrollment: Students are joining a rehearsal and performance process that builds week to week. Consistent attendance is essential for both individual growth and ensemble success.

Attendance Expectations: Because casting, blocking, choreography, and music depend on the full cast, families should communicate any known conflicts prior to enrollment whenever possible. Students are permitted one absence per semester for Performance Lab. Additional absences may impact casting and participation, and may result in a reassigned role or removal from the program.

Performance Commitment: Enrollment includes a commitment to attend all required tech rehearsals and scheduled performances. Dates will be shared in advance.

Casting Philosophy: CTSS prioritizes educational growth, confidence-building, and meaningful opportunities for every student. Casting decisions are made in the best interest of the production and the ensemble as a whole.

Small Cast Experience: Enrollment is capped at 16 performers per cohort, allowing for individualized attention, ample stage time, and a strong sense of ensemble.

Behavior Expectations: Students are expected to arrive prepared, stay engaged, support castmates, and contribute positively to the rehearsal environment.

Costume & Materials: Families may occasionally be asked to provide basic costume pieces (such as shoes, leggings, or neutral clothing). Specialty items and production materials will be coordinated by CTSS.

Communication: Important updates regarding rehearsals, schedules, costumes, and performances will be shared electronically. Families are expected to review communications regularly.

Withdrawal Policy: Because productions are cast and planned around enrolled students, withdrawals after the first class are non-refundable.
