CTSS Production Lab

Wednesdays or Thursdays 12 - 3 PM

Production Lab gives students the opportunity to rehearse and perform a fully staged musical in CTSS’s intimate black box theatre. This process-based performance class is designed for students who want the experience of being part of a full production while receiving meaningful training along the way.

With each production capped at just 16 performers, students receive individualized attention, ample stage time, and the chance to grow as both performers and ensemble members. Throughout the semester, students will develop acting, singing, movement, collaboration, and rehearsal skills while working toward a final staged performance.

Program Details

  • Time: 12:00–3:00 PM Wednesday or Thursday for 16 weeks and two full day tech rehearsals (64 Hours)

  • Ages:

    • 10-14 (Blue Cohort/Thursday: Descendants)

    • 14-18 (Orange Cohort/Wednesdays: Godspell)

  • Led by: 2-3 professional teaching artists

  • Focus: Fully staged musical production

  • Environment: Small-cast, ensemble-centered rehearsal process

  • Class Size: Capped at 16 performers per cohort

  • Fall Productions: Tentatively Descendants for Blue Cohort and Godspell for Orange Cohort. Spring show TBA.

Semester Tuition (64 Hours):

  • 1 Afternoon a week: CTSS Production Lab ONLY: $195/month ($780/semester)

  • 2 Afternoons a week: CTSS Conservatory + Production Lab: $345/Month ($1380/semester)

  • 2 Full-Days a week: CTSS Conservatory + Production Lab + Academic Studio: $550/month ($2200/semester)
